    • Cute, but for me it was not a must-read-to-the-kids story. I think a child would enjoy it on their own. I did like the pictures. And the whole build-up was good. I just thought the ending didn't flow, even if it was what I'd hoped would happen and wrapped everything up into cute. But it wasn't bad. I just don't know if I'd be able to pull it off in a storytime. But for a toddler storytime? No, I don't agree with that. The toddler might be able to sit for it when it's a lap-read.     • This is an entertaining story that celebrates preparation and imagination. Squeak wants to go on a journey and wants to have everything he'll need. The narrative is humorous and the colorful illustrations complement the story nicely. I doubt our girls would enjoy this book - I think they'd consider it too babyish for them. But I liked it.


    • I love elephants and the illustrations of Squeak and his family are adorable. Squeak decides he wants to go outside by himself, but each time he gets to the door, he thinks of something he just might need and has to go back inside and get it.
