    • Applause, applause. I recently read “Menopause in Manhattan” a novel by Anne Kleinberg and it was a book that both surprised and delighted me. One glance at the cover and I fell in love with the book—I immediately downloaded it onto my Kindle thinking that it would be a satirical look at life in New York- that’s where the surprise came in.This novel is a delightful excursion into the life of Elie, a highly likeable Jewish woman who lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, has a great j [...]

    • I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With life-like characters that I loved being surrounded by and some of the most realistic dialogue I have ever read, I just couldn't get enough of this novel. Kleinberg wove her wealth of experience and learned skills into a story that I found to be rich in detail. Consistently, we get the best and worst of interior design, food and fashion; as well as the feel of both New York City and Israel, which all work together to enrich the plot and transport us right into [...]

    • I really looked forward to this read, but what a disappointment. Basically this is a story about a woman going through many changes as she faces the second half of her life in New York City. I found the characters stereotypical, almost to the point of being offensive. While I am not a New Yorker, I am acquainted with those who are. They are nothing like what is portrayed here.NYC is the ultimate melting pot.It would have been nice to have at least a peek into someone'e life that didn't revolve so [...]

    • Not the best book i've ever read, but it did keep my interest. I just have a hard time with books where EVERYTHING always works out so easily. Not really like real life? Each character is handling some sort of adversity in their life and the book makes it work out so easily for them and their life is just super hap hap happy! Towards the end i was actually disgusted by all the happy coincidences.

    • An "ok", mindless, easy read. Something to read after reading a book that required lots of attention, emotion or thought.
