please can i have a breakdown of what our nearly 200 quid fees contribute towards and some insight to the below as we need to understand why we fund this money

1. why has there been no internatinal trials through the interleague system for at least one place.

2. how an interleague player can qualify to play for an international side

3. what monies contribute towards international sides. as it should be zero?

4. the working link to the league tables and fixtures.

5. presentation nite ?

6. details of and agm ?

7. a breakdown of the account on where the fees go ?

if the above is not answered please can we have our fees back ?

This is copy of an email received from the WPA on 16th October.

With reference to recent queries we apologise for not issuing regular updates although many are aware of what is happening each month.

Several of our scheduled Committee meetings were cancelled at short notice due to unavailability of members.

The matters then current were discussed via e-mail and telephone and resolved.

Unfortunately no minutes/update were then issued.

To rectify this , we will be issuing a bimonthly Newsletter commencing end of October. If formal meetings take place in any month , the minutes will also be circulated.

If you have any other ideas suggestions please let us know.

We also accept the Interleague updates have not been as smooth as they should have been and assure you that this will not be repeated.

As regards use of fees, these have been the same since the formation of the WPA.

The Interleague entry money is paid 100% in prize fund.

The League fees subsidise running costs eg EBA membership and meetings, help with the tours and some International team funding . No honorariums are taken.

A few questions from this -
1. To rectify this , we will be issuing a bimonthly Newsletter commencing end of October. If formal meetings take place in any month , the minutes will also be circulated. Where is this newsletter, or an update on the delay in issuing the newsletter?

2. We also accept the Interleague updates have not been as smooth as they should have been and assure you that this will not be repeated.
Why have the inter league tables not been updated? The season has ended, you cannot cancel your last game so why the delay? Who knows if they are promoted, relegated, champions, runners up or nowhere at all?

Communication is key in any organisation.

Are all teams still aware that if you pay by October 31st it is a lot cheaper? This has always been the case £70 + £15 County Cup for men. £45 + £15 County Cup for women? As i have been the treasurer for years i still have the original WPA paperwork forms? £50 league affiliation as we are a mixed league with only 14 teams. Hope this helps members Smile
