Sponsorship money. the players fund has risen year on year for the last 2 years; £640 / £850 and this we intend to continue to run and improve further. £800 of the sponsorships money supplied by Rileys will go straight into the Players fund and will continue to increase via the 10% entry fee money.
Entry Fees. The paid in advance fee will remain at £100 for 6 events but will have an extra facility for payment. £50 before 1st Event, then £25 at the 2nd and 3rd events. To qualify for this discount you must either pay before the events in instalments OR pay the full £100 in advance of the first event.
First Event. As the first event is a bank holiday we will be starting half an hour later, instead of 9:30 registration it will be 10am and instead of starting at 10am it will be 10:30 following the draw. Normal times will resume for the 2nf event.
Committee Roles. Jon Parry, Ows Owen and John Hughes are hoping to join the committee during the next voting at the end of our first year. Voting will take place for all positions within the committee at the second event in the same manner as last year. Dan Fletcher will be put forward as Competition Secretary with some new idea's to follow.
NWOT eligibility. There are two main reasons for running the NWOT along with the experience players can gain. The first and most important is the final goal of all players wanting to qualify for the many Wales National Team Places and this will ALWAYS be the main aim of the NWOT. The second is to win prize money for showing consistency on NWOT event days. To this end the committee feels it is important to support the players who are eligible to hold a Wales Team place should they prove strong enough at the end of the tour. For the 2013 season only players who are eligible to play for Wales will be allowed entry on to the NWOT. Should you feel you are not eliglible but wish to play then you can put your appeal in writing to the committee explaining your situation and each case will be looked at on an individual basis. The committee's decision will be final. It has never been the intention to turn the NWOT into a money oriented event and qualifying for Wales or gaining experience will remain the focus of the NWOT.
Seniors Tour. The NWOT seniors tour is taking shape and final details are being put together now. A meeting will take place with the WPA this Saturday to finalise the allocation of places and the format of the Seniors Tour will be based on that information along with the opinions of players who have been approached. If you are interested in the Seniors tour then please let us know asap.
