The Jersey Festival is unquestionably the most famous, successful and eagerly anticipated English Pool event of the year...any year!
24 previous Festivals in some of the best known hotels on the island has helped make Jersey the biggest and longest running event of its kind in the World with many people returning year after year
There are numerous reasons why people do so, but undeniably top of the list, as most regulars will confirm, will be the special camaraderie, and ebullient atmosphere that not just prevails but dominates the week and it's something in the refurbished surrounds of St Helier three star Mayfair Hotel that we invite everyone to be a part of in 2012.
The Universities Pool Council is pleased to announce the details of its programme for
the coming season with competitions to decide the champions at individual, team and
representative level. With many previously strong teams losing key players due to
graduation and the expected participation from new teams, the season ahead looks
to be wide open.
The season kicks off with the UPC Nine-ball Championships over the weekend of
25-27 November 2011 in Riley's in Liverpool. Defending champions University of
Manchester will be in attendance with the primary aim of retaining their silverware,
however they will face stiff competition from a variety of angles.

5) Huw Salmon
6) Simon Ward

Our club tour final was between Andy Corten and the talented Zak Shepherd. Andy was always the stronger player as he ran out 5 – 0 to win the third club event and his second appearance in the final. The club event is open to players who have not played for Wales “A” in the past 2 years or any professional pool player.
I would like to thank Martin and his staff at Rileys Newport for their support during the day. The tour will be back at Newport later in the year.
